About me
After years of running my own office supplies company, I decided to sell up and re train in psychotherapy, in person centered counseling at Bridgend college. My theory base is based on a person being able to heal themselves and being at their own center as opposed to cognitive therapy which teaches you a new way to think or behaviorist which thinks if you have learnt a way, you can unlearn a relearn. You could say hypnotherapy incorporates all of this and that is true indeed. After my psychotherapy, I went on to complete my hypnotherapy course as I found it utterly fascinating. When we consider the very small part of the mind, we are conscious of it made me think what is the subconscious all about and what role does that play? More importantly, how can it and does it influence us? Our conscious mind is emotional yet the subconscious is almost like a filing cabinet of documents which are simply stored as they were perceived at the time and accessed if required such as if you smell a certain smell, it activates your subconscious memory if this is associated with it and this is then seen as it was stored however, that was relevant at the time of storage but is it still correct? Is it relevant now or is it influencing how you live today? Hypnosis can facilitate clients to address this-if they want. Once I qualified, I then went on to qualify in NLP (Neuro linguistic programming) which links very well with all of the above as this helps for clients to flip a situation and see other perspectives and enhance your own awareness which can help build confidence and motivational skills. I regularly attend continued professional development sessions which are documented and available for inspection to ensure my approach is ethical and up to date with new advances. This also gives me the opportunity to connect with other therapists and work within the support network and mentoring/supervision.

The number of sessions required depends on each client but it is unlikely 1 session of approx. 1 hour will be sufficient. Notes will be made for reference only and these are stored securely in accordance with data protection.
Stop smoking/vaping in 1 session (this is not 1 hour but a 1 off session and fee) Weight management (approx. 4-6 sessions) Fears and phobias.
How to contact me and what happens next:
You can email me at enquiries@resolvehypnosis.co.uk with your enquiry or text/WhatsApp, or call me at 07749109815. I aim to respond within 24 hrs. but my phone may be off if I am with a client, so please be patient. A 50% deposit is required to book a session, payable in advance; this is fully refundable if cancelled with more than 24 hrs. notice. The balance is payable at the session or just before. Once a deposit is paid, an enquiry form is emailed to you to gather information about you and what you wish to seek hypnotherapy for. This information is strictly confidential. Some of the questions are designed for me to analyze your modality (how your brain prefers to experience things). By doing this I can tailor the session to suit you best so it maximises the response you will have, e.g does your brain respond better to visual cues (seeing), audio (hearing), or sensory (touch) cues, so therefore would I say, “You can see the clouds in the sky,” as opposed to “You can hear the wind blowing” or “You can feel the breeze against your face”? You can use the form to give as much information as you can or want, and this enables me to prepare for your first session so maximises therapeutic time and for me to do my research for what you need. Once you arrive at the session, we will briefly run through the form to clarify any points and answer any questions. Usually more than one session is required, but session 2 picks up where we left off.
